Eboni Fondren

The Chicago-born vocalist lives in Kansas City: you can't get more deeply rooted in the heart of African-American music. A collaborator of the highly inspired Laurent Marode (who arranged her album *An American in Paris *), she evokes Dinah Washington and Nancy Wilson for the soulful colors of her approach to jazz. Thanks to her deep timbre, she combines a bluesy sensibility with power and musicality. Also an actress, Eboni Fondren always makes a splash on stage because of her uncommon generosity!

Musicians: Eboni Fondren (vocals), Laurent Marode (organ), Yves Brouqui (guitar), Stéphane Chandelier (drums)
