A sensory experience in an exceptional setting
Each course follows a professional tasting methodology structured in three examination phases:
① Visual examination: Appreciate the color (color intensity, nuances), the clarity, the brilliance and observe the disc and the legs (tears) which testify to the alcoholic and glyceric richness of the wine.
② Olfactory examination: Develop your aromatic palette by identifying primary aromas (varietal, related to the grape variety), secondary aromas (resulting from fermentation), and tertiary aromas (evolving bouquet, notes from barrel aging). Master the distinction between a closed nose and an open nose, and recognize potential defects (cork taint, reduction, oxidation).
3. Tasting notes: Analyze the tannic structure, acid-alcohol balance, roundness, aromatic persistence (measured in caudalies), and identify tactile sensations (astringency, smoothness, alcoholic warmth). Learn to determine a wine's aging potential.

For 30 years, the wine tasting courses at the Wine Museum.
The M. Wine Museum, owned by the Council of Wine Stewards of France since 1984, perpetuates a tradition of excellence in the transmission of oenological knowledge. This Confraternity, whose mission is to defend and promote the finest wine appellations of our terroirs, guarantees the quality and authenticity of our teachings.
Our courses are led by qualified professional sommeliers who combine teaching skills, passion, and expertise. Each session takes place in a unique setting: the former quarries of Passy, historic cellars that housed the wines of the Brothers of the Order of Minims from the 16th century onwards.
Over 10,000 participants have already passed through our doors to discover or deepen their knowledge of wine. Join this community of epicureans and enjoy an unforgettable sensory experience.
